SRCP Grant Awards

   

At their February 21, 2007 public meeting, the Pike County Board of Commissioners awarded Lackawaxen and Shohola Townships a Municipal Planning Initiatives Grant under the Scenic Rural Character Preservation Program in the amount of $45,948.50.  The funds will be used by Lackawaxen and Shohola Townships for the development of a Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan. 

On April 11, 2007, the Commissioners awarded $17,389.00 to Delaware Township for updates to their Subdivision and Land Development and Zoning Ordinances.

Five (5) grant awards were announced by the Commissioners on June 6, 2007.  Municipalities receiving grant awards for Municipal Planning Initiatives include: Blooming Grove, Delaware, Greene, and Palmyra Townships.

In April 2008, the Commissioners announced the first 2 grant awards under the Comprehensive Program Grant Manual.  Matamoras and Westfall Townships will receive funds for development of a Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan and also for creation of a Multi-Municipal Open Space Plan.
