About the Office
Pike County has three elected Auditors. Their duties require them to audit, settle and adjust the accounts of all county offices including Magistrates, Jail and Library. The audit is done for prior year and report is filed with the State of Pennsylvania. A copy of the report is given to all department heads, the governing body of the county and the President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. The Audit Report is published in the local papers and is also available to the public for review.
The responsibility of the Auditor's office is to examine and reconcile all bank statements with deposits, receipts and expenditures.
Our audit adjustment and settlement is made in accordance with law, rather than generally accepted auditing standards.
