Assistant District Attorney

The Pike County District Attorneys Office has an open full-time Assistant District Attorney position. The duties of an Assistant District Attorney are the representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the prosecution of criminal cases. The duties include presenting evidence and legal argument at preliminary hearings, pre-trial hearings, juvenile proceedings and jury trials. The duties also include appellate advocacy including appearances before the appellate courts of the Commonwealth. This is an appointed position and serves at the discretion of the District Attorney. The person must be a licensed attorney and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Salary as set by the Pike County Salary Board expected to be between $40,000.00 and $42,000.00. Position includes Pike County Employee benefits including health benefits and participation in County pension plan. The County of Pike does not discriminate based upon gender, race, creed or color.

Pike County, located in northeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking to fill the position of Community Planner in the County’s Office of Community Planning, Shohola, PA.

Under the general direction of the Planning Director, coordinates professional planning projects related to the implementation of the Pike County Comprehensive Plan and the Open Space, Greenways and Recreation Plan; provision of technical planning and mapping assistance to Pike County municipalities; facilitation and assistance to municipalities on land use, open space and recreation planning; administration of grant programs/projects; review of subdivision and land development plans and municipal ordinances, and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in community, rural, natural resource or recreation planning, or related field; supplemented by three (3) years of related experience. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills, computer and organizational abilities, and public speaking experience is desired.

Salary: Salary based on experience plus County benefits package. Pike Co. is an EOE.

The Pike County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for a full time Aging Care Manager Supervisor I position. If you enjoy helping people and advocate for home and community based care, this is the right position for you. This is a civil service position requiring 3 years of experience in public or private social work, and a Bachelors; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related sciences. This position is responsible to oversee the delivery of a range of services provided to consumers by our Agency and contractors. You would be responsible to review and analyze case records for completeness and adherence to standards. You would also train and supervise staff, prepare reports, and collaborate with nurse consultants, other professionals and various state and local organizations involved in social services.
