SHARE Housing Counselor
BASIC FUNCTION
Work within the community to promote the SHARE (Shared Housing and Resource Exchange) program, through recruitment of potential homeowners or renters (Home Hosts) and home seekers (Home Sharers). Act with increasing independence to assess and evaluate clients who can potentially be matched with other clients in the context of the SHARE program. Match clients in Home Host/Home Sharer situations in order to best enhance and prolong the clients’ ability to remain living in the community. Work directly with Home Hosts/Home Sharers who have been matched in order to establish and maintain healthy relationships.
