About the Office

The Adult Probation and Parole Department is staffed with Probation Officers and such other assistants as are necessary to serve the Court of Common Pleas. Probation Officers are peace officers and have police powers and authority throughout the Commonwealth to arrest with or without warrant, writ rule or process, any person on probation intermediate punishment or parole under the supervision of the Pike County Court of Common Pleas for failing to report as required by the terms of his or her supervision or for any other violation of probation, intermediate punishment or parole.

The Pike county Probation Office is located in the Pike County Court House, Milford, Pennsylvania

Court Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of adult offenders placed on probation, intermediate punishment, or released on parole by the Court from the County Jail.

  • Conduct pre-sentence investigations, pre-parole investigations and such other investigations necessary to serve the Court.

  • Manage and supervise electronic monitoring, work release programs, and superintend community service projects.

  • Assist offenders through personal and collateral contacts to achieve compliance with sentencing conditions

  • Collection of restitution, reparation, fees, costs, fines, and penalties.
