About the Office

The Tax Claim Bureau is responsible for collecting delinquent real estate taxes for 3 school districts and the 13 townships/ boroughs located throughout Pike County. All Real Estate taxes are considered delinquent if not paid by December 31st of the current year. Any unpaid taxes are returned to the Bureau in January for further collection. A $15.00 fee per claim is applied. Interest accrues at a rate of 9% annually.

The Tax Claim Bureau now has available to the public our current list of Delinquent Taxes. It is a search form that you can search either by Last Name or Business Name. Please note that this is not a certified search. To have a certified tax search you must contact our office.

Pay Taxes by Credit Card

If you would like to pay your taxes by credit card, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our office to find out the exact amount owed. You must have your control number to identify the property you are paying for.
  2. Either call 800-272-9829 and use Jurisdiction Code 4840 or go online at ACI Payments. Please be aware that a nominal fee is charged by Official Payments for this service.

NOTICE!! ALL SALES ARE BUYER BEWARE!!

Thoroughly investigate any property you are interested in purchasing.

Assessment records should be checked. It is advised to look at the property before bidding.

Purchasers of properties in planned communities should contact the community association to see if there are any additional charges for a new purchaser.

YOU WILL RECEIVE A TAX CLAIM DEED, NOT CLEAR TITLE TO THE PROPERTY.

Most title insurance companies will not ensure the property without a Quit Claim Deed or an Action To Quiet Title.
