About the Office

The Area Agencies on Aging provide a range services such as home delivered meals, social/recreation opportunities at both senior centers and congregate dinning. In some cases we provide home personal care and home health aides and we can also contract a provider for adult day care services. In addition, AAA's are mandated to provide adult protective services to older persons who for whatever reasons may be exploited, abused or neglected.

Some of our senior centers are now open. Contact your local center for more information and an activities schedule, if applicable.

In open centers, reservations are required 48 hours in advance, and proper COVID-19 health and safety precautions are in place such as hand sanitizing, masks and social distancing.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and generosity. What you can do today can improve someone’s tomorrow. Thank you!
Any questions please call 570-775-5550.

Please send your donation to our office address at:

IN-HOME DELIVERED MEALS PROGRAM

As you may know, our senior center activities have been suspended during the Covid - 19 pandemic.  We are still continuing to prepare our meals for our Home Delivered Meal Program.  Our number of consumers receiving the Meal has grown to 800 -1000 meals delivered weekly.  We ask for a donation of $3.00 per meal, but even that is difficult for many older adults.   We are asking for your support and help.

Sponsoring a Senior for $15.00, it will cover the cost of meals for a week.  Any donations are always welcome.

The Federal Government, local funds, and the Pennsylvania Lottery provide only a portion of the total cost.  This is why we depend so much on donations.  In order to continue and increase the quality of meal service, we ask for your help.
