About the Office
The Area Agencies on Aging provide a range services such as home delivered meals, social/recreation opportunities at both senior centers and congregate dinning. In some cases we provide home personal care and home health aides and we can also contract a provider for adult day care services. In addition, AAA's are mandated to provide adult protective services to older persons who for whatever reasons may be exploited, abused or neglected.
Some of our senior centers are now open. Contact your local center for more information and an activities schedule, if applicable. In open centers, reservations are required 48 hours in advance, and proper COVID-19 health and safety precautions are in place such as hand sanitizing, masks and social distancing.
Subaru 'Share the Love Event'
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is once again partnering with Subaru World for its 15th annual Share the Love Event! This is the third year Pike AAA will participate.
Beginning November 17, 2022, and continuing through January 3, 2022, for every new vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to charity. Over the lifetime of the event, Subaru has donated more than $250 million to charity.

IN-HOME DELIVERED MEALS PROGRAM
As you may know, our senior center activities have been suspended during the Covid - 19 pandemic. We are still continuing to prepare our meals for our Home Delivered Meal Program. Our number of consumers receiving the Meal has grown to 800 -1000 meals delivered weekly. We ask for a donation of $3.00 per meal, but even that is difficult for many older adults. We are asking for your support and help.
Sponsoring a Senior for $15.00, it will cover the cost of meals for a week. Any donations are always welcome.
The Federal Government, local funds, and the Pennsylvania Lottery provide only a portion of the total cost. This is why we depend so much on donations. In order to continue and increase the quality of meal service, we ask for your help.
