Grants
At this time, projects eligible for funding include:
- Municipal Planning Initiatives,
- Conservation Easements from willing sellers,
- Parcel Acquisition from willing sellers, and
- Donated Conservation Easements
Eligible development projects must be located within Pike County and must be supported by the municipality where the project will occur. Development projects should meet one or more of the following: Park & Recreation Development, Greenways & Trails Enhancement, and River Access Improvements
Eligible Applicants: Pike County Municipalities
NOTE: In order to apply for a Mini-Grant, a municipality MUST have a current Open Space Plan and/or Master Site Plan for the subject property.
Grant Amounts: Maximum grant not to exceed $25,000 (and requires a 50% match)

This category of funding covers municipal projects such as the development of new or updated Comprehensive Plans; Open Space, Greenways and Recreation Plans; and municipal land use ordinances that accommodate natural resource protection and scenic rural character preservation goals.

Grant Amounts:
Ordinance Update Project
- Maximum up to 25% of eligible project costs or up to $15,000 (whichever is greater).
- Multi-Municipal applications eligible for up to 50% or $20,000 (whichever is less).
Comprehensive Planning Projects
- Maximum up to 25% of eligible project costs or up to $25,000 (whichever is greater).
- Multi-Municipal applications eligible for up to 50% or $30,000 (whichever is less).
Open Space Planning Projects
- Maximum up to 25% of eligible project costs or up to $20,000 (whichever is greater).
- Multi-Municipal applications eligible for up to 50% or $25,000 (whichever is less).

NOTE: In order to apply for Easement/Acquisition grant funds, a municipality MUST have a current Open Space Plan that outlines the Conservation Priorities for that community.

25% - 40% of eligible project costs (up to $600,000)
(max. award of $1,200,000 for multi-applicant projects)
