NEW MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN PIKE COUNTY

Eligible Homeowners Can Receive up to Three Months of Mortgage Assistance

The Board of Commissioners of Pike County have established a new Mortgage Assistance Program for low- to moderate-income homeowners. Eligible applicants will receive up to three (3) months of assistance with mortgage payments. Interested homeowners can apply by going to PikeForward.com.

To be eligible for the program, homeowners must reside in Pike County, be behind in mortgage payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and have income less than 80% of the area median–up to $63,100 for a family of four.

Through a separate program, the county also has funding available to assist renters and landlords.

Interested homeowners can call Stephanie Everson, Human Services Housing Coordinator with Pike County, at (570) 832-0156 or send an email to severson@pikepa.org for more information.

This project was financed by a grant from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development.
