The
Pike County Commissioners presented a check for $75,000 to
Habitat for Humanity of Pike County. The funding is generated by the Optional Affordable Housing Funds Act, formerly known as Act 137 of 1992, which allows counties to fund projects and programs to increase the availability and quality of affordable housing through fees charged for the recording of deeds and mortgages. Mike Donolon of Habitat for Humanity thanked the Commissioners for the contribution and their continuing support.
