WORKING PIKE JOB FAIR SET TO HOST 72 EMPLOYERS

“Area job seekers will find excellent opportunities at this year’s WORKING PIKE JOB FAIR on Tuesday, April 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing,” said Cynthia DeFebo, Director of Pike County Workforce Development Agency. This event is filled to capacity with 72 employers from the tri-state area scheduled to attend.

There is no fee for job seekers, and no RSVP necessary. Come dressed to impress and bring your resume. Contact the Pike County Workforce Development Agency at (570) 296-2909 if you need professional interview attire from their clothes closet or help with creating or updating your resume.

This is the 5th job fair organized by the WORKING PIKE committee, a group dedicated to building a stronger community through partnership of government, community, and faith-based organizations. This year’s sponsors include, Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau, Lackawanna College Lake Region Center, the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing, Bold Gold Media, and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.

“Recruiting employers was easy this year with so many hiring and offering a variety of opportunities,” stated Job Fair Coordinator, Randy Philhower.

Available jobs vary from entry level to managerial in industries including healthcare, hospitality, financial, manufacturing, warehouse, law enforcement/corrections, recreational, sales and many more. The opportunities will be there – will you?
