NEW FUNDING FOR PIKE COUNTY NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS - Nonprofits Impacted by COVID-19 Can Apply for up to $25,000

The Pike County Commissioners have announced a new grant program for nonprofit organizations. The Pike County Nonprofit Recovery Fund will provide organizations that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with up to $25,000 that can be used for operating expenses, capital improvements, or fundraising activities. Applications are due on April 30 at 5 p.m. More information about the program is available at https://www.pikeforward.com/nrf.

The grant program is open to nonprofit organizations that are headquartered in Pike County and legally recognized as a nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Organizations exempt under 501(c)(4) are not eligible. Applications will be reviewed by a committee and scored according to community and organizational need, benefit to the community, leveraged funds, and organizational capacity and sustainability. The Pike County Commissioners expect to provide a total of at least $150,000 to local nonprofit organizations through this program.
