National Honor Society Students Organize Collection Drive for Local Displaced Families

The Pike County Office of Human Services would like to thank Delaware Valley National Honor Society (NHS) students for their donation of suitcases, bags, and personal items for local displaced families.

The NHS students recently organized a collection drive for the items after a student said that they had a suitcase they didn’t need and wanted to know what to do with it. From there, the NHS initiative grew.

More than 20 bags filled with essential personal items were donated.

Executive Director of Human Services, Robert Ruiz, said, “We are very grateful for the donation provided by the National Honor Society students and are looking forward to making this an annual event.”
