8th Annual Elder Justice Day

Pike County’s 8th Annual Elder Justice Day will take place on Wednesday, August 10, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at American Legion Post 139, 104 Route 2001, in Milford, PA. The theme of this year’s event is Fraud Prevention.

This free event will consist of food, fun, and prizes; as well as speakers presenting on important topics including fraud prevention and power of attorney. Banking and Securities will be providing a Fraud Bingo for event attendees to participate, learn, and win prizes.

Many local vendors will be in attendance to communicate the services they offer and to provide resources and educational material.

Tracy Simon, Protective Services Care Manager of the Pike County Area Agency on Aging, says, “This event is held annually to educate seniors in our community about pressing issues they face either now or in the future. It is the hope that by attending this event, seniors will gain valuable knowledge to better prepare themselves should these situations arise.”
