The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) of Pike will hold an information session on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at 6:00 pm via zoom, for individuals interested in becoming a fully trained Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. Please contact CASA of Pike County Program Director, Dawn Allison, at dmallison@pikepa.org or (570)296-9827 to register for the free virtual information session.

CASA is a non-profit organization that aims to connect children being served by dependency courts with volunteer advocates who collect pertinent information about a child’s case to help the court act in the best interest of the child.

CASA of Pike County One-Year Review

As CASA of Pike County nears the successful completion of its first year, the office celebrates the program’s success.

The CASA of Pike County was established in January 2022. One year later, the program now has 16 fully trained and active volunteer advocates. These volunteers serve 76% of the children that are involved in the Dependency Court system.

CASA of Pike County Program Director, Dawn Allison said, “We are very proud of all we were able to accomplish in the first year of the program. Our goal for 2023 is to be able to serve 100% of the children.”
