Delaware Valley High School National Honor Society Collects Toiletries and Suitcases for Homeless Families and Foster Children

In an inspiring act of service, the Delaware Valley High School National Honor Society, in collaboration with the Pike County Office of Human Services, has launched a Luggage and Toiletries Drive to benefit members of their community in need.

Students have undertaken a comprehensive collection drive, gathering essential toiletries and suitcases, targeting assistance towards those who are homeless, foster children, or those otherwise displaced from their homes. The drive aims to provide a measure of comfort and dignity to these individuals, addressing a fundamental need often overlooked.

“Students from the Delaware Valley High School National Honor Society partnered with the Pike County Office of Human Services on a Luggage and Toiletries Drive. These generous donations will benefit members of our community who are identified as homeless, placed in foster care, or are otherwise displaced from their homes," said Amanda Pope, Advisor and Science Department Chair at the high school.

The collected items will be distributed through the Pike County Office of Human Services, ensuring they reach the individuals and families most in need. This initiative further demonstrates the commitment of the Delaware Valley High School National Honor Society and its partners to support their community and exemplify the spirit of service embodied by its members.

The Delaware Valley High School National Honor Society and the Pike County Office of Human Services express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has already contributed and those who plan to contribute to this drive.
