The County updates it’s comprehensive plan to provide a framework for future growth, development, and preservation activities. The Comprehensive Plan Update will utilize the PA Department of Community and Economic Development Implementable Plan model to create a plan that is actionable and measurable. The planning process will continue with an expected adoption in Spring 2024.

Pike County’s Community Planning & Mapping Office is responsible for the administration of the project. Pike County has contracted with the firm Michael Baker International to manage the planning process and draft the Implementable Comprehensive Plan Update. Michael Baker has also brought in The Institute, an economic research and applied research consulting group based in Wilkes Barre, PA, to support the project.
