Commissioners Purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for County Facilities

The Pike County Commissioners recently purchased 18 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) as well as replacement parts through the Gregory W. Moyer Defibrillator Fund. An AED is an easy-to-use medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

Pike’s new AEDs were purchased with grant funds awarded through the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) 2022-2023 Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool (PCoRP) Loss Prevention Grant Program. The AEDs will be installed in Pike County government facilities and vehicles.
